me and my partner are a lesbian couple we have been together for 5 years now and we are looking to adopt a daugther together

we have had our crb checks done which came back great and we now have our 1st visit on the 2nd of july from the social service

so any tips or advice will be very useful

we have been sooooo busy doing up our home and getting things prepared for the 2nd of july

We are Foster Carers, I have been fostering for around 15 years (OMG Makes me look old) I used to foster lots of pre adoptions babies which was hard but rewarding, now we have lots of teenagers
My partner Trixxie had to go through the assessment before she moved in a year or so ago


On your first visit they will probably explain the process and ask a lot of questions, don't forget the biscuits

thanx for the message , 15 years long time i bet you have had your ups and downs but i bet you wouldnt change addoption for the world what you and your partner have done is amazing offering those children a loving home and stability which is what they need and deserve . we are really looking forward to the visit off social services but we are a little nervous being there first time visit
do they put you on the spot by asking you random questions if so we will be on our guards lol . thankyou again for your message and keep up the good work we both admire you. we will fill up the biscuit barrel lol both take care lisa & maria

Some questions can seem quite intrusive but don't worry about being put on the spot.
I am sure your worker will put you at ease
