Skills to foster course completed - Certificate gained

Hi all,

Just an update....

we have completed the last day of the Skills To Foster course today and got our certificates.

We really enjoyed the course and found it interesting and eye opening, I feel that we have learnt a lot and gained a good insight into what to expect should we be approved to foster.

The next stage is to complete our assessment and we should hear from a social worker in the next couple of weeks she will be coming out to start the process which I am really looking forward to.

They mentioned about various checks and financial checks, just wondering what these entail so i can have everything prepared as I don't want anything to delay the process.

We have completed our CRB forms and they have taken copies of our passports driving licenses, proof of address etc already.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to you too...... it was a good course I thought..... was crying at one point when they were telling us about some of the kids.... I'm a real softie though lol.....

We should have a letter in the next week or so with details of our SW then she will contact us to come out and start the assessment.
