Thank you
finding a forum for special guardianship is quite difficult, so I thought this would be the best place.
Plus you all seem really friendly from your posts Smile

Hello I'm very new to this site, and not too sure where to start, but was hoping this site would be useful in gathering information!

We currently have a little boy under a Special Guardianship Order. How far did you get with going ahead with this?

Special Guardianship / Kinship Care

Post  pawleysmith on Thu Aug 18, 2011 4:29 pm

Hi

I am a Special Guardian to my Cousins child who was removed at birth. He is now three and together with a couple of other women I offer support and guidance to people going through the process via our support group Kent Kinship Care. We can offer phone support to people out of the area too.

Looking after a friend or families child comes with its unique set of issues and can be very stressful but rewarding. I am happy to offer help to anyone who needs it.

Kind regards

Paula

Hiya all
sorry I haven't been on here for so long it has all been go since we started as we have also moved house as hubby was posted to a different camp, and we're given a 6 bedroom house as our viability acessment was very possitive so have 2 spare rooms at the mo untill the little one will (hopefully) come to us.
we went to the littleones care procedings and we were given the right to start the proceedings for our special guardianship, the actual court day was actually quite manic with people arrange timetables ect. and a final date was set Nov (which at the time was 6 months away and seemed like ages).
We have had a big spanner in the works but are just hoping it all works out, and we get to have her come live with us.
